The Historic Olivet Baptist Church sits proudly on the corner of 3101 S. King Drive in the heart of Bronzeville, and traces her roots to 1850 as the first African-American Baptist Church in the city of Chicago.
We invite you to celebrate the rich history of Olivet with an evening of praise, and worship as we commemorate“175 Years of Faith: Moving with Eyes Forward and Established Footing in God’s Word.” Proverbs 4:25-26.
Please join us as we acknowledge this momentous occasion with dinner and live entertainment at the South Shore Cultural Center, Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 3p – 7p CST. The cost is $150 per ticket and on-sight metered parking is available for a fee.
We look forward in sharing this day as an opportunity to learning more about the storied past of the Historic Olivet Baptist Church, encourage interest and participation in our bright future, and honor the commitment of those whom have served to get us here.
